How do i get my hair into loose waves?

i really like loose waves on everyone i see them on. i wanted to try the hairstyle and it just didn't work for me, i couldn't get it the way it's suppost to look, ive tried using many different curling irons. my hair is about an inch or two past my shoulders.

i was wondering if anyone had good tips on how to get hair like this..

That's easy. Just put your hair into one or two french braids after you wash, condition and dry it. Just use a little babyoil to help it look soft.

3. Use your fingers as a comb and comb your hair.

1. Get 2 chopsticks

2. Divide your hair into 2 sections, like your making pigtails

3. Wrap each section of hair around a chopstick and secure it in your hair, stick it in

4. Spray some water on it, unless your hair is damp when you're doing this.

5. When your hair gets dry or is close to being dry, take out the chopsticks.

I am not sure what hair type you have but here is something to try...

Take a shower and when you are done, towel dry your hair. Brush it and put some anti-frizz mousse in your hair. Then add a curl enhancing gel/cream and scrunch your hair (grab from the bottom of your hair and push up towards your head and squeeze). If you have a blow dryer with a diffuser, use that after to help set your hair. I have naturally wavy hair so I generally don't need to curl enhancing gel.

Use a big curling iron,angle the iron in the north,south

position.When you gather....Start bottom half of your hair first,clip the rest up.Gather your hair,closest from the root,allowing the rest to just hang,not in your iron

then get the remaining portion,excluding the piece you just did,this is where you are going to have it facing

north/south once you have it all in,leave in for a short time,as to not damage your hair,oki usea good product,such as,"Biosilk",or "Rusk-Sheer Brilliance"a tiny bit at a time,through your hair ,is going to look shiny and beautiful.Good luck hun,to start,practice on a Sat.if you have no plans ;)
